Ministry and Service
Priority 3-Ministry and Service
Central to our lives as disciples is the privilege we have to serve others with our God-given gifts and abilities. The apostle Paul reminded the Ephesian church that God had given gifted leaders to the church for its edification and growth, writing, "And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ." It is the desire of the leadership at Williams Creek Baptist to equip our people for the work of service.
We have various individuals who serve locally within the body through specific ministries which engage different types of individuals such as children, students, women and men or different types of needs such as facility and lawn maintenance, cleaning, media and the like. We realize that God has gifted, through the Holy Spirit, every believer for the purpose of service within the body of Christ. Using these gifts will have their impact through God's leadership in teaching, evangelism, missions (IMB, NAMB, OMF) and benevolence.
Although our ministry and service can be actualized through some programs available within the context of the local church, we recognize that our ministry is not a program, but a distinctive reality of who we are as Christians.
