  • Mike horner

    Lead Pastor/elder

    Mike Horner was born and raised in the Parkersburg, WV area and has served at WCBC since 2004.  He is a Glenville State graduate with a B.A. Art Comprehensive, K-12, holds an M.Div with Christian Education from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a D.Min in Applied Theology from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.  Mike surrendered his life to Jesus Christ at age 12.  He has been married to his wife Sherri since 1986 and they are blessed with three adult children, a daughter-in-law and two grandchildren.

    Brian Haught was born and raised in the Marietta, OH area.  He received his B.S. Electrical Engineering Technology from the DeVry Institute.  He is currently employed as an electrical engineer.  Brian surrendered his life to Jesus Christ at a young age and was baptized a few years later with his father who had become saved.  He has been married to his wife Robie since 1991 and they are blessed with two adult children.

  • Fred pepper

    Fred Pepper was born and raised in the Vienna, WV area.  He has lived his entire life in this area and is employed at Chemours (formerly DuPont) as a Process Control Technician.  Fred surrendered his life to Jesus Christ after many years of exposure and rejection of the gospel.  God made clear through His Word his utter sinfulness and the sufficiency of forgiveness made possible by grace and faith through Jesus Christ.  He has served at WCBC as a teacher and a deacon.  Fred has been married to his wife Kim since 1977 and they are blessed with four children (one deceased), a daughter-in-law, and five grandchildren.

  • john underwood

    John Underwood was born in Cannonsburg, PA.  He holds various degrees from the American Institute of Banking.  He is retired from banking and the Washington County Sheriff's Department.  John surrendered his life to Jesus Christ at the age of 10 during a revival and under the preaching of his father who served the Lord in the Gospel ministry for 41 years.  He has been married to his wife Norma since 1965 and they are blessed with three adult children, two son-in-laws, and five grandchildren.
